About Us

The support team includes:

    • Professor Cathy Stinear and Dr Suzanne Ackerley and colleagues from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Cathy is a clinical neuroscientist whose research focuses on predicting and promoting recovery after stroke. She has led the development of the PREP2 prediction tool.
    • Emma Monigatti, Claire Valentine, Ben Scrivener, Olivia Norrie, Hayley Collard, Sian McGee, Leanne Newall, Lindsay McGreal and Desiree McCracken from Auckland District Health Board, New Zealand. This is the team of hardworking allied health therapists who have implemented PREP2 in clinical practice at Auckland City Hospital. They are now training and supporting their colleagues who are implementing PREP2 at other hospitals in New Zealand.
    • Dr Louise Connell from the University of Central Lancashire, England. Louise is a physiotherapist and implementation scientist with particular interests in the intensity of stroke rehabilitation, outcome measure development, and implementing stroke rehabilitation interventions.
    • Dr Felicity Bright from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Felicity is a speech-language therapist and rehabilitation researcher with a particular interest in how clinicians and services can better support people to live an enjoyable and meaningful life after stroke.
    • Dr Harry Jordan from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Harry is a research fellow who manages and updates the PREP2 training and PRESTO websites.
